Olympic Torch Relay

On Sunday 6th April, one of our students participated in the Olympic torch relay. The torch was carried across London on its global journey to Beijing for the start of the 2008 Olympic Games.

The torch relay began at Wembley and followed a route through 10 boroughs to the grand finale event at North Greenwich. Samantha Beezley, a keen sportswoman and Year 13 student at our school, took her turn during the relay.

Congratulations Samantha we are all very proud of you!

 

Summer

Examinations

The summer examinations for GCSE and A’ Level courses have begun and we hope that everyone is doing their very best to gain the highest possible grades. We realise that this is a stressful time for students and parents but we also know how proud everyone will be when the results are published in August and students get their results.

‘Power Down’

Campaign

Our student Green Team have been active in launching a campaign  to raise awareness about the effects of climate change and what we can do about it.

Power Down posters and stickers are being produced to encourage energy saving at school and at home. The message is simple - If you are not using it, switch it off!.
