16+ students volunteered to take part in the Inside Justice Week event. They found out about arrest and interview procedures at police stations, obtaining DNA evidence and use of video evidence before taking part in a realistic mock trial. |

The total amount raised for Children In Need 2008 from the Sydney Russell School Sponsored Halloween Fancy Dress, held in the Library on Thursday 23rd October is an incredible £1,061.90 A huge THANK YOU to everyone that helped on the day and to all of you who helped us collect the money in. Your help is very much appreciated! A special WELL DONE goes to P. Conlan Year 7 who managed to raise £125.00 and B. Knapp Year 8 who raised £126.69 |

Lyandra Diaz from our sixth form won a borough bursary award for Business. One of the rewards was an opportunity to attend a banquet for the ‘Growing Business Awards’ in Grosvenor Square. Her accounts teacher Mr Conor Walsh, who is also shown here, said Lyandra is an excellent student with the potential to be very successful in the business field. The Right Honourable William Hague, Sir Terence Conran, John Caudwell (Phones 4U), Gerry Ford (Café Nero) and Duncan Bannatyne (Dragon’s Den) were just a few of the VIP’s Lyandra got to meet.
