Text Box: 2009 Ski Trip

For the sixth year running Sydney Russell School students have had the opportunity to learn to ski in the Austrian resort of Kitzbuhel and the snow didn’t let us down!

On arrival we were given a warm  welcome by our hotel manager, Heike, and the ski school of Aurach who have got to know us over the years and are always pleased to see Sydney Russell students back for more fun on the slopes.

The skiing this year was of excellent quality – the metres of snow gave everyone a soft surface to fall on and the freezing temperatures meant that all our ski kit was put to very good use!  Nothing could stop our skiers though and after just two days many of them were ready to take on the challenge of some of the more challenging runs!

When ski school finished and we had relieved our feet of our boots, we headed into town for swimming, bowling, shopping and a traditional Tyrolean evening.  It was a busy, fun-packed week which saw everyone come back exhausted but invigorated by the fresh mountain air.

Many thanks to the fantastic students and dedicated staff who made this trip such a success.  Details of the next ski trip will soon be available so keep a look out!

Summer

Examinations

2009

The summer examinations for GCSE and A’ Level courses have begun and we hope that everyone is doing their very best to gain the highest possible grades. We realise that this is a stressful time for students and parents but we also know how proud everyone will be when the results are published in August and students get their results.

Good Luck Everyone!
