Wales was descended upon for the weekend by Sydney Russell Year 7 and 8 rugby team. The weekend was an endless amount of training and learning. It started off with training on the beach followed by a good meal and a long walk. The highlight of the weekend begun on Saturday morning, the students met, and were coached by some of the best players in world rugby. The students were presented with a signed Osprey Rugby shirt, then later in the evening went to watch them play. Excitement was high as the students were able to point out who had trained them that morning.  Alas the Osprey’s just lost, but it was a great game for the students to watch.  On our final day the team went to play Brynoch RFC. Although Sydney Russell lost, the game was played with much spirit and team members showed courage and bravery. We were presented with the Brynoch RFC club tie and invited back next year. The students’ attitude was exemplary throughout. This tour was a once in a lifetime chance for some of our students and a memory to cherish for all involved.
