Examinations 2011

The summer examinations for GCSE and ‘A’ Level courses have begun and we hope that everyone is doing their very best to gain the highest possible grades. We realise that this is a stressful time for students and parents but we also know how proud everyone will be when the results are published in August and our students achieve their potential.

Good Luck Everyone!

We would like to remind everyone NOT to    come onto school premises to drop off or collect students in their cars. The front gate and playground are very busy areas both before and after school. The dropping off and collection of students should be outside of the school premises.

PR2 – 1’s and 2’s in English, Maths and Science.

PR3 – 1’s and 2’s in English , Maths and at least 5 other subjects.

PR4 – 1’s and 2’s in English, Maths and Science.

PR5 – 1’s and 2’s in English , Maths and at least 5 other subjects.

Middle Band students have to achieve the following for each Progress Report (due to Literacy Focus being a combination of subjects):

PR1 – 1’s and 2’s in Literacy Focus,  Maths and at least 2 other subjects.

PR2 – 1’s and 2’s in Literacy Focus, Maths and Science.

PR3 – 1’s and 2’s in Literacy Focus, Maths and at least 2 other subjects.

PR4 – 1’s and 2’s in Literacy Focus, Maths and Science.

PR5 – 1’s and 2’s in Literacy Focus, Maths and at least 2 other subjects.

A successful progress report allows students to achieve initially the bronze medal. Following that students can progress to silver, then gold providing they are successful with each successive progress report. If students under achieve in a progress report they move back to bronze status and start again. When students achieve the correct levels for all five progress reviews they will be presented with the highest level award – the platinum badge.
